Im curious if a preson can get banned by blizzard or if Blizzard will do anything about people who steal from the guild bank?

Heres what happened: We have a raiding guild in BT/Hyjal and were saving Hearts of Darkness to make our shadow resist gears. We had saved 87 so far and they were in stacks of 20 in the guild bank.
Now we have tons of SSC/TK items, patterns, void crystals, large prismatics, resist pots. etc etc in the bank.

We do limit player withdrawals as such: recruits cannot withdraw, members can withdraw one thing per day, and raiders can withdraw 2 things per day.
We thought this was a fair system, and it allows our raiders to go in and get mats they need for enchants, or marks of ilidari for flasks, etc.

This person had raider status and was allowed 2 withdrawals a day. He decided to leave the server after argueing with another guildie. However we didnt know he was leaving and had no idea he was even still mad about the incident. Sometime that night around 11 p.m. he took 2 stacks of Heart of Darkness, then logged in a day later and took 2 more stacks and gquit. Soon as he Gquit, everyone started talking and then it hit one of the officers to check the guild bank. Sure enough, 4 stacks of heart of darkness are gone.

On our server Hearts of Darkness sell for around 400 gold each. So one stack is equal to 8000 gold.
were not sure what server he transferred to, or what name he switched to, so we cant track him. If he were to sell all the hearts for 400 each, thats 32,000 gold :(
Our guild will have to run another 2 months in BT/Hyjal to replace all those hearts. It hurt us in a bad way.

Do we have any recourse? Our officers dont even want to send a ticket as they think theres nothing Blizz will do about it. I am trying to convince them to send a ticket, as surely this is fraud, plain and simple.

I dont just want the items back, Im hoping he will get banned as well, because this is the lowest of the low.

Q u o t e:
Bottom Line from 5 pages: Tell your GM to put in a ticket and explain what happened and what was taken and give the characters name and then wait. You may get your stuff back. You will never know that Blizzard does to him, if anything.

Yes.
