Why are 99% of wow players keyboard turners?

First off, how do you know it's 99%?

Second off, I believe there are many keyboard turners because there are many people that have never played an FPS before or didn't play them enough to become comfortable with mouse look/turning. It's a skill that actually takes some practice to use, but once you get used to it, it becomes habit.

What's the key similarity between the two? They're both hand eye coordination, something used in all types of games, and is no way limited to FPS, better learn it now.

Edit: How does he know it's 99%? He doesn't. However, we all know it's a vast majority because we've seen it in every pug we've ever done.

I'm trying to figure out how you "owned" my entire point. I'm not saying it's limited to FPS however, it's a core skill many players of that type of game learn.

I don't believe you can say one way is better than the other in World of Warcraft, however. Like anything, players should do what they feel most comfortable with. If you turn with the keyboard and it's comfortable and easy for you, then do it. If you have more success with mouse and keyboard combo, then do it. ;)

I also can't say it's a vast majority of people using one over the other since my focus isn't how they are doing what they are doing, but if they are doing it in a way that is bringing our group success.

Just as a point of reference, I'm a keyboard, mouse person and I click and hit hotkeys both. It depends on the situation. I do what is most comfortable for me given the situation.
