Does that feel like a holiday to you guys?

i mean sure throwing snowballs are fun and its cool to get your bank alt some nice santa gear but what else is there ? dont even bring up the food because most of it (besides warm apple cider cookies and egg nog) is no difrent from normal food

Now whats even worse is the darkmoon fair...
ok so sure we can get gear from it sutch as the darkmoon amulet but now that BC is out that gear is total trash also all the food and drink they sell is NO difrent from reguler food

And all the repeatable quest guys are just pointless rep grinds for worthless pre BC gear
It says darkmoon FAIR not darkmoon FAIL isent a faire a place that has games? sure it has the tonk game (pretty damn fun) but what else does it have? there is so mutch un used space in the fair that its crazy come on bliz atleast put some more games.

There are more crapy events but im to lazy to adres them now.

Q u o t e:
I'm having difficulty finding enough content to complete for Winter's Veil. I've done the quests, and I found the gifts to be a touch of holiday magic, but overall I still feel it's missing something.

I do enjoy hurling snowballs, and my alternate playing characters have been adorned with merry clothes made from the finest silks and lace, but I'm left longing for more.

I don't even want to discuss the food at these gatherings, it seems to offer little more than any other four star, James Beard, of Nottingham badged affair.

Let me switch gears to the Darkmoon Faire, my feelings for which are only controlled by the steel trap I refer to as my stomach, because upon the thought of it I would otherwise heave.

I recognize that we can obtain certain trinkets and baubles, but in comparison to those found in the current day they are less than satisfactory. And, again, the dried up bread, moldy fruit, and dirty water are barely comestible.

Furthermore, all of the repeatable quest mongers offer nothing more than desultory and haphazard achievements towards pointless conclusions.

I believe the name to be Darkmoon Faire, and not Darkmoon Fail. However, with the content it provides I can't fathom why it isn't. Don't Faires usually provide feats of entertainment? I will admit the Tonk battles do, oh, tickle me, but I find alternate distractions less than appeasing. The amount of underutilized expanses on the grounds are approaching moonstruck, and I don't refer to Academy Award winning movie.

I have other concerns, but I've had nary a bite this morn and I fear that I've become quite languid.

Fixed.

If you've been playing for long you'll certainly notice that pretty much every year there are fairly substantial improvements for each of the holidays. As we're reaching a sort of plateau as to how many seasonal events we want to have (there's a very respectable number), we're going to be filling them out more and more. While I can't share any details, rest assured that work is being made on the holiday events and we're committed to continual improvements and additions.

Dost mine ears deceive me? Is some noble soul decrying the labor of my most hearty fellows?

Okinos, as the spokesman for the World Team, I'd like to assure you and the rest of the playerbase that we're hard at work fleshing out the existing events as well as looking into new ones.

Winter Veil didn't receive much of our gentle touch this past year, but Darkmoon Faire might be a little better than you last remember. You surely know at this point of the new decks we added into the Burning Crusade, but the Exotic Goods Vendor now also stocks things that might well be of interest to our level 70 crowd. This is far from the last change we plan to make to Darkmoon Faire, and more activities and the like are on the horizon. We want to see it become more diverting as well.

We plan on revisiting all the holidays, and are currently cooking up something for an older holiday that should bring a significant amount of punch into it. We're always working, my friend, and we plan to bring you a great deal of amusing things.

Now, I would be moderate in your expectations. Don't expect epic items from every holiday, for example. Our aim is to provide a fun experience for players that is different from the norm for a period of time, giving each holiday its own unique feel.

I look forward to bringing you more fun and frivolity in the future.

And Drysc, hats off both my heads to you, sir. (Yes, there are hats. Invisible hats.)

Hi, were going to focus our attention on events no one cares about, instead of fixing the real problems of the game such as class balance, AFKing bgs, or PvP in general. Don't worry though, the next Christmas Tree will have more lights!!! =D

Contrary to popular belief companies house many employees, all of which work on specialized or specific tasks. The brunt of the entire focus of that company is not put on every individual. By piecing out tasks to employees who have experience and expertize in their related tasks, a higher level of quality can be applied to individual facets resulting in a better output as a whole. This can be considered analogous to a hive of bees, or swarm of ants, where specific groups or even individuals within the colony have specific tasks. No one task is required of everyone, and through this, individual strengths can be put to better use.

In short, hur hur hur hur!

I believe my moniker as stated is Kisirani, which does not resemble Caydiem in any etymological way.

...

So how about them competing breweries, eh? Eh? I think the Barleybrews are really going to take it all the way this year.

Kisirani, I've been around for just over a year now and have the chance to check out all the holidays. Don't listen to the OP idiot or anyone else negative. The simple fact you add stuff like this to the game puts it a step above other FPS/MMORPG.

That said however, I really did find Brewfest in poor taste. Living in Wisconsin, and having to deal with the label of 'The Drunk State', celebrating getting dfrunk really isn't something we need. I'd much rather see a holiday like Thanksgiving put in it's place, or maybe even a football-themed holiday, (Boarskin Gnomeball?)

Understood, but I hope you'll understand that we don't just cater to North American folks when it comes to holiday selection. As was fairly obvious, Brewfest is based on Oktoberfest and was a nod to our European players primarily. Other holidays of that nature include Midsummer and Children's Week.

They do, actually. It's the Harvest Festival, which comes before both the US thanksgiving and the Canadian thanksgiving.

It's not a big holiday. Mostly just recognizing fallen heros. and you get free food from the table out front of the cities.

The Harvest Festival is a nod to international players as well; while I'm not 100% certain (and, being Saturday, I don't have my notes handy), I believe it's at least partially based on the Korean holiday Chuseok.

Children's Week, as someone asked earlier, is based on Children's Day in Korea, though other countries also have such a day. :)

Dear, Kisirani...

While we got your attention...could you do me a small favor? Is there anyway of making Winter Veil more reflective of the different races/cultures that celebrate it? For example: Green Christmas trees in Exador wern't doing it for me.

Mm, I'm not certain that example is the best one. While, yes, Azuremyst has its own particular sort of trees, the Draenei had never celebrated Winter Veil before. The Jinglepockets no doubt have a tree farm from where they harvest these trees each year, and they brought a tree with all the trimmings to the Exodar themselves. 'Twas a goblin business, there, not draenei, despite the location. ;)
