Auryk... Revealed!

Unbeknownst to anyone, I infiltrated Blizzard's headquarters disguised as a Mountain Dew delivery man and was able to snap this shocking picture of everyone's favorite turtle before I was discovered.

I, er… I was shrunken down by a Gnomish Shrink Ray, and asked to move my station. . . It was a very daunting task, but I was determined to get it done on my own…. No help from any other Game Masters.

The cafeteria was out of coffee this morning. Needless to say, I was a little despondent about the fact. But then, in the midst of my preparation for hara-kiri, it came to me: it is possible to synthesize excited bromide in an argon matrix. Yes, its an excimer, frozen in its excited state!

Starbucks doesn't sell coffee. Starbucks sells coffee-derived specialty drinks which bear little resemblance to real coffee.

I figured that maybe I should grab a cup of coffee at the 7/11 to clear my head. (I would have gone to Starbucks, but I only wanted a SMALL, COFFEE-FLAVORED coffee, y'know? I mean, what's up with coffee bars, anyway? Have you noticed that you can't ever seem to get COFFEE-FLAVORED coffee any more? Am I right?) Guy at the counter stopped ignoring me just long enough to inform me that there was no more coffee, so I grabbed a Big Gulp--or, as they say at Le Starbucks, the, um, VENTI, as in VENTI. . .OOOOOOOOOOOH. . .I can speak Italian.

I defy Coldylocks' claim that his picture is of Blizzard HQ by providing counter-evidence.

Since we're talking about turtles, here is my pet Tyler:

http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/471/tylerxh4.jpg

I used to work volunteer in my local museum back home. They had a nice little aquarium where we could bring out certain animals and let the kids see 'em. One of the animals we got to show was an ANCIENT tortoise; I think he was at least 75. I loved bringing out some of the more exotic reptiles, though; we had stuff like chameleons (don't try to bring one out when you're wearing a sweater) and a blue-tongued skink (it bit me when it was molting; I had a heart-shaped bite mark on the skin between my thumb and forefinger from it. I wanted to keep it).

Does he pull both of his front legs up to his face, with the tops towards the glass, and make them quiver back and forth?

Ummm... close. He does scratch his face with his foot, which I find pretty adorable. However, he usually needs his legs to stand on. :o)

He also yawns very big with his mouth all spread open.

Ah, one of my past turtles used to flutter their front legs about, as described above, whenever I would put my finger near the otherside of the tank. It's a sign of affection; I later came to find out.

As usual, can't complain. I'm excited to be home (later) and play some Rock Band, because my replacement bass pedal came in today. I think I might mod it to a stronger material, though. I see some nice wood replacements for the pedal itself that'd outlast the plastic.

To their credit, the demo pieces aren't near as sturdy as the regular pieces. I was unlucky in that my set (my pedal, at least) was part of the first batch of hardware and...yeah.

It's also worth noting that storegoers tend to beat the tar out of demo pieces of anything. Don't blame the big H for that.

I've had my Rock Band for a lil while, and nothing has broken so far. How hard are you steppin' on the peddle?! Seems like you'd have to curb stomp it to make it break. :O

Haha, Meir. The center of the pedal was weak due to the plastic mixture, I think. It just snapped in half one day.

I have a plastic black case for my iPhone. It really helps.

I was very protective of mine until I found out the screen was glass so wouldn't scratch nearly as easily as an iPod's would. Of course, I have to be careful of dropping so far that the glass would break, but still. Scratches drive me.

Of course, now if I could get it to stop crashing the integrated iPod when I try to play songs...

Belf, can you clarify something, just for curiosity's sake?

When you joined the forum, did you already have one picked out? I would assume that at this point, you're just waiting for the render of your avatar and then for them to actually apply it to your account, yes?

That's pretty much the process. The selections have to be approved and rendered, etc. I have one in mind, though I'm not sure I'll get it yet. I chose it before I started posting, though, so all of your suggestions have been for naught :p
