I can't stand it when people say this in guild. It makes you sound like a tool, especially when it it said before and after every single boss. People refer to the items as theirs before they even get it. Also, people try to say it to try to make it seem like they are the only ones who deserve it and try to not get others to bid or roll.

I am a GM and I will begin disenchanting loot which people refer to in this manner.

I think it's bad luck to say you want something to drop for you on a particular mob. It's like when people say, "oh you have this in the bag". You immediately have to knock on wood, spin around three times, and say the magic word "pizzookie" so you aren't jinxed.

I don't think overall though, that it's a bad idea to let people know if you need something. Someone else may need it too so you can discuss it, or someone else may decide they can pass for you.

I'm not a big fan though of those that proclaim loudly every single item they want on every single boss. That does get a bit old and does smack of loot monger.

A restraunt out here in Southern CA makes pizzookies. They're large, pizza-like cookies, served fresh from the oven with ice cream on top.

SO. GOOD.

Keep the loot, I want a pizzookie now >.<

Yes. The Pizzookie is strong at that place. Thus, why it's such a magic word. They also have great food there in general.

Hehe, yes I think many a 1% wipe occurs after people say this one is over. Don't know if it is because people relax or if it is a curse :P.

Gruul less than 1% and... oh look... it's a wipe. Get runnin' back everyone!

I'm right there with you on that.
