Why am I friends with the Horde?

Dear Blizzard,

Back when I started this game, I hated the horde. They were the evil force that I used to struggle against (Yes, even on a PvE server). Killing the dirty horde in BG's or flagged ones before a MC or BWL run gave a feeling of pride and competiveness in the game. The Epic AV battles were the ultimate in a head-to-head struggle. We hated them, and they hated us.

However, ever since TBC has come out... I find myself to be around Horde all the time in the major city that we BOTH use! PLUS, I can't duel them, let alone flag and attack!!!

What happened? I thought we were enemies!? I know we came together to kick Archamond in the nuts, but since then things went back to the good old fashioned hating and killing eachother. Until, that is, we all got to use this "central" city. Heck... I'm even tight with the Scryers who are friends with the horde as well! I can live with that... but we even use the same bank! Whats with that? I walk by horde in the street every day in Shat as if were IF or SW.

The world PvP objectives try to bring the old spirit back... but at the end of the day... we still go back the same city. It's almost like we were a single team that was split to do some practice drills and then come back to the same locker room and give some /buttpats.

Please, when you do your next expansion... put us at odds again. I know Shat works GREAT as a central city and a general "hub" of activity.... but lets bring back that which Warcraft was founded upon: Orcs vs Humans.

*EDIT* A good discussion going on here as well: http://www.wowinsider.com/2007/07/18/weve-become-carebears-in-shattrath/

There is a phrase, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." It applies very well for the situation between the Horde and Alliance. There is one enemy that is more important than each other and that enemy threatens all of their homes on Azeroth. Outside of Shattrath things get much more tense between the two sides.

I agree, to the post after this. This is a pathetic answer.

/fail

and I asked the same question that somebody else did. Why can't I group with alliance then?? We are fighting a common enemy aren't we?

Anyway, very weak Drysc.

For one, I'm not Drysc. I know we look alike and all that. ;)

For another, just because the Alliance and Horde have a common enemy does not mean that they are all about to get overly cozy with each other. They are definitely still very aware of their differences and disputes. Their history of aggression toward each other isn't all that far in the past and there are still ongoing flare-ups and hatred among their peoples on both sides. It's not something that gets easily overcome. For now, they seem quite content to stay out of each others' way when it comes to overcoming their common enemy.
