The ridiculous 2v2 queues I'm paying for..

Hi, I'm a former Blizzard customer since WoW day1,

I play a 70warrior and a 70mage, and all I do on both my character is play arenas. I had been playing 2v2 a whole lot during season one, but by the end of it, I grew tired of waiting in queue and stop playing it. But I recently had to play 2v2 again cause I had to work on my personal rating to get weapons and shoulder..

And so, from my experience, 2v2 queues go from 5 to 15minutes and I would say average 7minutes. After you're done waiting 7minutes, you join the game, wait 1min before you can play, and play your game for about 2minutes. So basically you get to wait 80% of the time, and play 20%. As a PAYING customer I find that extremly unacceptable.

A Blizzard representative acknowledged the problem just a few weeks ago, but didn't come up with any hope of solutions. He basically told us to learn to live with it.. that made me very angry. One of the main reason I only do PvP and don't PvE at all, is because it allows me to be a lot more flexible with my everyday life schedule and game. As opossed to PvE I don't have to log on at certain time to meet with my raid and stuff... I like it that way. Prime time is when I happen to be available the most, and I'm not gonna start modifying my life schedule around a GAME!? What thell is that...

We all know the problem behind is hardware-related for the most part. Knowing Blizzard is a very wealthy company, and that we pay a lot to play their game.. this is something VERY frustrating to live with.

Express your opinions in this thread, and bump as much as possible in hope the problem gets looked at.

Thank you

It's an issue, and we're aware and will be making changes to help with the wait times. The change will require a patch, but will not be a part of 2.3.2. I'll state a vague "future patch" just to be safe, but we're hoping to resolve the wait times as soon as possible.

The change will make it so that more instances can kick up in a shorter amount of time. Which doesn't necessarily mean there can't ever be a wait again, but it should drastically decrease them. Of course, prime-time 2v2 is still going to be run the most and susceptible to the longest wait, but our hope would be to make "the longest wait" inconsequential.

Q u o t e:

First of all, there is a prime time everyday. Second, because the ones who onyl play during the prime time are customers.

We don't see a limited number of slots for Karazhan during primetime.
We don't see a limited number of slots for Battlegrounds during prime time.
But we do see a limited number of slots for Arenas... go figure.

To be fair there actually are, but you're not going to see thousands and thousands of Kara instances attempting to start up every few seconds.

If you've ever run through a portal and just do a dance back and forth, not going anywhere, you can see where an "instance queuing" type effect could be happening, and while that's generally a technical error or issue with an instance server, there are limitations placed there on purpose that have a similar effect.
