I'm 36, soon to be 37. The younger folks have to realize that people my age grew up in the golden age of Video arcades so computer games are not unusual for us.

I sometimes wonder what retirement homes will be like when I'm elderly.

They better have high speed internet, a nice LAN, and the top of the line games or else I'm running people's toes over with my personalized cybernetic people mover. It won't be pretty.

I've said this before and I'll say it probably more than once in my lifetime until it sinks in. People of all ages have opened up to gaming whether they grew up on it or not. It's becoming more accessible as more people get access to better internet and it becomes more socially acceptable as a hobby.

I've known people who were in their 60s playing with their kids and have heard many more stories of families playing together. You're never too old to have fun.

Spent that Christmas day playing until I rolled the score over in Asteroids. :)

But could you roll Pitfall? And did you use shields or hyperspace for Asteroids? (I used shields.)

Remember having to take a picture of the screen to submit your high-score to Activision?

Yes, I do. We used a Polaroid for that. ;) It was beautiful. We had to take it before it rolled over back to zero.
