Patch 2.3.2 Live Today Without AV Change

I just downloaded the 2.3.2 patch and noticed that evidently Blizzard thought better about the further abominable changes to AV. The change which had been in the patch notes would have strengthened the Bosses based on the number of Marshals and Warmasters still standing appears to have been removed from the patch.

Maybe it is finally beginning to sink in to Blizzard that the 2.3 changes to AV have been a complete and total disaster. My only hope is that rather than just not putting something in like the original 2.3.2 change, they will do something that will return AV to being fun and enjoyable as well as rewarding... and SOON.

Currently AV is totally dead on battlegroups like Stormstrike and a couple of others.

I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself here. We are still looking at AV carefully. Sometimes we don't implement something in one patch due to technical issues we've run into. Sometimes we decide they are better implemented at a different time. The most I can say at this point in time is that while the Warmaster change isn't in this patch, it may yet be implemented later.

We are still working toward making AV a better and more strategic experience as we go along. I understand that you feel it is lacking (and others have voiced those same feelings) but there are others that also greatly enjoy AV in its current incarnation. We're not saying it's perfect. I've said this before in fact, but I'll say it again now, we don't generally settle for believing something is perfect "as is". We are always looking for ways to make things better, more fun, and evolving the game to new levels. We are not satisfied easily and will continue to strive toward doing better.

You're joking, right? OK, I admit I'm new around here (only 6 months or so), but I read a lot of the forums as I was considering joining. So much of the old content / mechanics are stagnant where it's obvious it needs to be looked at that I can't believe you'd say this.

My take on WoW continues to be that you'll add new stuff long before you'll review the existing stuff. Not uncommon in the tech industry (especially the software industry), but really ... aside from dinking around with classes (which seem to bob up and down in terms of relative power), I don't see a whole lot of improvements going on in the existing content.

Apparently, you missed that we have revisited older content in Dustwallow Marsh and added quests, a quest hub, added guild banks, and more. We also adjusted dungeon levels, adjusted experience gains, and loot tables. This was all as of patch 2.3.0.

We will continue to make improvements where we can to existing content as we feel it's most beneficial.
