Battle Plan

Once upon a time, Blizzard kept us up to date with a general battle plan. Why did it go away?

I'm curious about the direction of the game and what is coming. I know about WoTLK, but I'm more curious as to what is happening between now and then.

From reading various posts these are my guesses:

* Only one more "major" patch between now and WoTLK. 2.4 which includes Sunwell and ties off a number of storylines as well as opening up some new ones pre WoTLK to start us down that road.

* Additional minor patches designed towards more class balancing efforts.

* Additional minor patches to fix some long-standing bugs.

* WoTLK is released.

Am I close? Any other thoughts?

It hasn't gone away. I just couldn't tell you when the next one will be heading your way as of yet. :)
