46 & 2 is just ahead of me.

I recently came back to World of Warcraft about 2 months ago. I had left pre BC, when I realized that all the work my guild and I had put into MC,BWL,AQ40 and Nax gear was going to be replaced with green gear. I was hesitant to continue due to having to re-gear back up through greens and blues, then eventually epics again.

After a break of about 6 months, playing Vanguard, and Daoc, I got bored and decided to come back.

I got to 70 quickly and got my blue tank set and blue dps set from the 5 mans.

I joined a guild that had kara on farm and was looking to start a second group, I was happy to join and offered to be the main tank, but week after week, they never had enough people for "group two", and if we did have enough, they would take some key classes to "Group one"

I put up an argument that they should be more willing to help out the guild group #2 with some of the people from group one, they said they should not have to give up their progress for us. (the rest of the guild).

So naturally I left the guild, hell I even left the server, thinking that a larger server would have more to offer. Now I am in my 3rd guild since coming back to WOW, and in the same exact position.

"We are recruiting for Kara (group #2)" but its never really going to happen, as long as the Gm and their clique have enough to do Kara they will never care about anyone outside of that 10 people.

I gave up and decided to go farm honor and get season 1 gear, which is nice, and has some fair utility in PVE, but I always loved PVE raids, I have applied to larger guilds just to be turned down for having pvp epics or not enough Kara gear.

I have only done Kara in pugs now.

Should I just break down and create my own guild and get 9 more people to farm kara with me?

Do other guilds actually run more then one Kara group? Hell Kara gear isn't even that nice...

Q u o t e:
I named the post 46&2 because I love tool. nothing more, nothing less.

Even if you didn't mean anything by it I think it's kind of fitting. Evolving past yourself, your current situation, striving to be better or in a better place than you are. *shrug* I think it works in some ways.

Anyway, I don't think there's any reason why you need to be in a guild that's progressing through Kara, especially one that's dealing with internal strife over it. There are guilds that can and do have multiple runs and they work, and there are guilds that are past it and still do their alt runs or what have you. It's just a matter of finding one that's operating the way you want it to, and they do exist.
