Option For Race Change In TBC?

Other than aesthetics, would an option to change the race of characters that have a lot of time invested be viable in the expansion? After two years of playing, it seems unfair to me that racials given to Dranei are far more benefitial (at least to a hunter) than my 1% dodge or the now nerfed shadowmeld that were available when the game first launched. The racials in question are:

Blessing of the Naaru
Activate to heal your target for 10 + 3 * level every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. 1.5 second cast time and 3 minute cooldown. (At level 1 it heals 65 health, and heals 1100 at level 70)

Heroic Presence
Increases chance to hit of all party members within 30 yards by 1%.

I know this is a longshot, but I'd be very interested to see Blizzard's stance on this topic because players are now faced with a choice of rerolling Dranei at the cost of time invested or sticking it out with their current outdated racials.

No, we don't plan for people to have the option to change their race. That would be a very complicated matter and it would simplify the character development process way too much. People should be invested in their characters when they choose them. If they aren't invested they can always choose to create another one.

Seriously, you can rot in hell. I did invest in my character you scum bag and now you have made my investment worth nothing with this expansion. I hope an earthquake drops Irvine, CA into the ocean.

May angels watch over you and keep you safe every day of your life. May the sun rise to meet you every day and may you judge not until you walk a mile in another person's moccassins. :)

BTW, I've never used, "QQ Reroll" or intimated it. People tend to read into things how they wish.

LOL What do you call:

I would call it a statement of fact. If people don't feel a connection with a character and don't want to play it, they can create new ones. It's an option available as a part of the game. I've created many alts over time for various reasons and know that if I wish to play another character type or race that I need to roll it and level it. That takes premeditated planning and investment of time that I've decided is worth it to me or not. It is solely my own choice.

At current, I'm thinking I will take at least one 60 to 70 and then maybe roll one of the new races and mix in some PvP time in the Arena on the 70. I have a personal goal of the races and character classes I'd like to level up and play and realize that I will have to make some time management choices in order to accomplish that.
