Just to be sure, because, admittedly, I have thought about doing this...I have been obsessed with Bananas since I saw him in Booty Bay. I have bought pack after pack of trading cards, to no avail. I discovered someone selling just the Bananas card on an auction site about 6 months ago. I want to be sure I am understanding that this is a way to get your account banned. I would hate to lose my account, but that monkey is so precious.

Purchasing an out-of-game item (the loot card) for real-world currency is fine; you're welcome to buy a card on eBay or a similar site. It's when you begin attempting to make transactions that span the border between the real world and the in-game world — buying out-of-game items for in-game currency, or vice versa — that things become sticky. These exchanges are prohibited by our Terms of Use, and no support shall be offered in the (quite frankly likely) event that the deal goes south. My apologies for your confusion, Marss; may you take a lesson away from this.
