If you are not the registered person on both accounts, Zzeh, I'm afraid you do not "own" both accounts you merely pay for the subscription, which is not the same thing.

Whomever is the registered user on at least one of the accounts is the person who has the right to access it, unless they are your parent or legal guardian, you may not.

Q u o t e:
You may not share the Account or the Login Information with anyone other than as expressly set forth herein.

Q u o t e:

Blizzard does not recognize the transfer of Accounts. You may not purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, or offer to purchase, sell, gift or trade any Account, and any such attempt shall be null and void.

The reason the last names are different is Because I am one and my stepbrother the other account have both agreed to allow the switch.

And as I stated in my original post, Zzeh, you may not sell, trade or gift another account. You may only transfer a character from one account (where you are the registered user) to another account (where you are the registered user).

Regardless if your stepbrother "agrees" to the trade or not, Blizzard Entertainment does not agree to the trade because we specifically prohibit trades, sales or gifts of this nature.

You people defending Blizzard's policies disgust me.

Personally, I'm not overly fond those who bump threads started back in 2007 simply to add an opinion based on a false assumption.

Q u o t e:
If I, or anyone else, am PAYING monthly for a service I should be able to share, give, or do whatever else I like with that account since I OWN that account.

Mortgeist, that is the issue at hand though. You don't own the account.

7. No Ownership Rights in Account.
NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY HEREIN, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU SHALL HAVE NO OWNERSHIP OR OTHER PROPERTY INTEREST IN THE ACCOUNT, AND YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT ALL RIGHTS IN AND TO THE ACCOUNT ARE AND SHALL FOREVER BE OWNED BY AND INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF BLIZZARD.

You rent the account. A car, movie, video game, or phone does not compare. The best comparison would be to an amusement park pass. You see, although you pay for the pass you don't actually own the park or anything in it. You may use the pass to access the park when the park is available. You may not transfer that pass to any other person though. You may allow one minor child to enter the park with your pass, though only that one minor child may enter.

I'll be locking this threads so we don't see it jump up from the grave after another month or so.
