Hemo doesn't need to be nerfed.

It's powerful, but not overpowered. And we've only had it 2 weeks. :*(

I understand the concern that you have for this. I would urge you to please test out the change on the PTR when you get the chance and give feedback on it there.

The intent at this point with this change is to remove some of the front load damage in favor of more group utility. This was the intention of the original Hemorrhage buff and we're working toward getting it back where we feel it's going to be the most balanced and beneficial both. That said, we are always on the lookout for constructive feedback on these changes.

Name a time when Blizzard has reverted a nerf based on feedback on the PTR. Go on, name one.

Well based on recent feedback from players (and more) recently, Earth Shield isn't being changed. It was changed for a short period on the 2.3.2 patch on the PTR and has since been reverted. Believe it or not, we do take into account player feedback in conjunction with our own goals and internal data to decide if a change should go through, should be changed/adjusted, or shouldn't go in at all at a particular point in time.

There have been other occasions where PTR information has changed results as well. Going into every single instance of this would take too much time, but it's important for people to realize that we do pay attention to what is going on, we look at what the community is saying and then we look at our own data to decide if what we want to do gives us the best results for the game and the community overall.

Rogues do way too much damage.

Hemo nerf i dunno, my friend tried hemo in a raid, the charges disapear instantly so ... @ the raiding option.

All they need to do is ethier remove AR or Prep from the AR/Prep build for pvp imo. Because everyone will agree that damage output is rediculous (combined with CloS and Evasion you cant do much against them for awhile ethier)

If your friend was using this in the live realms, they may have encountered the bug that is currently fixed in patch 2.3.2 though it depends on what rank of the ability they were using.

• Hemorrhage: Rank 4 of this ability no longer has its charges consumed by non-physical attacks and spells.

I know this thread is growing at an amazing pace and is almost impossible to answer individuals, but pls, did this change come around because of PVP or PVE balance? There really is no justification to nerf it for PVE, and in pvp? Again...then why do all mages get iceblock now , not to meantion the op warlock abilities that they've always retained.

I don't think we can chalk it up to being for or against one or another. When we're looking at group utility, that can translate to PvP or PvE. In the end, it comes down to what the player wants to get out of their build and one thing many rogues have asked for before is a better utility in groups. Overall though, we're looking at balance which means we have to take both PvP and PvE into account.

I know that isn't the answer that you are looking for. I know you're looking for "this was a direct nerf to PvP/PvE", but I can't say that. I also can't say that this is "the" utility answer that rogues have been looking for. I don't think this defines that. It's just merely one ability we've looked at that we feel can add utility. What more lays in store for the future, I couldn't say right now. Again, (and not to beat a dead horse), we are always looking for constructive feedback and discussion to take into account with our own data and plans to use toward improving all aspects of the game and game balance.

You honestly think that drastically nerfing the damage of Hemo +1 damage is excellent utility? What a joke.

In no way did I use the word "excellent" in my post. I just said it is intended to add utility to groups.

No, this isn't what is intended. I have a few other tasks I need to get done today and I want to make it known that I'm still keeping tabs on the thread. I don't want people to think that just because I'm not posting that I've left or am ignoring it.

I don't have a say on if it is or isn't being nerfed beyond letting you know that I'm reading and will relay the concerns.

I understand what your saying here but I must ask. If Rogues are asking for PVE group utility
then why in the hell are you putting it in the PVP tree for rogues? We need something in the
combat tree that we can work into a PVE raiding build not some screwed up build that does @@!@
damage in PVE raids

We've always tried to have a little PvE utility in with PvP utility where we can in trees. Granted, some trees are deemed more PvP oriented than others, but we have always tried to work a little of both in to the various trees so that there is that additional versatility for builds. Some will argue over whether we've been wholly successful or not with this, and as you notice, it's something we're always working to improve.

I've tested it on the ptr and it's a really bad nerf... I'm probaly going back combat maces, at least shadowstep/hemo was fun for the two weeks it lasted.

You may want to go into some detail about your experiences on the test realm forums or here, so we can better see what you experienced.
