I would say "what realm?" and then I would say "o rly!?" I'm sure there is a queue, and possibly has been on and off, but every day since when? If I get in tomorrow and Blightcaller hasn't had a 40 minute queue every day for the past two weeks I'm banning you from the forums. This, I pledge. (not really, but I think you're exaggerating)

We've been seeing some fairly decent queues since 2.3 for about 10 or so realms, but nothing we were too alarmed about. Being the first day of Season 3, with all the shiny new epics, etc. etc. I would fully expect the populations for all realms to go up substantially.

We have raised some of the maximum population caps on a few realms that were hitting regular queues just from 2.3. If it's required we can do the same for more realms, or take some other action to help bring populations back in-line.

It's a shame a new realm wouldn't be the solution since I'm sure all the Americans would roll on it simply because it's new.

It's a possible solution if it really looks like there's enough there to make up a whole other realm. What we could possibly do is open a new realm, have free transfers from all Oceanic realms to it, and disable character creation. It would all depend on actual numbers and trends of players, which I don't have in front of me.

It would be a shame to jump the gun and assume that the 2.3 and season 3 buzz won't die down, cave in to short-lived complaints, and open a new realm/offer transfers for what will very likely be a short term problem.

Blightcaller is not an Oceanic realm. Barthilas is the one with the massive queues every day. Check it if you want. Has been this way since 2.3 came out.

I apologize, sometimes I get the timezones/realm types of the 210+ realms we have a little mixed up.

I will check.

I suppose that means you have a stay of execution of about 7 hours.

Your 7 hours are up. How'd we go?

Hugz 'n stuff,

Me.

Quite right!

Barthilas in no way could have had a 40 minute queue, within the past two weeks, on the nights of:

November 13, 15, 16, 19, 22, 23, 26.

So that's only half of the nights for two weeks that could even potentially have a queue anywhere near 40 minutes, and in those cases it's likely the wait was much shorter most of the time. Really though, it doesn't matter. If it looks like a continuing trend we'll take appropriate action.
