Dear blue, who all does the music?

Is there a credits styled list somewhere that I can read over to find who all has worked on the audio, specifically the music, for this game?

Or, do you plan on releasing soundtracks for some of the new content?

Thanks ahead of time.

David Arkenstone has redone a lot of the Tavern Music that people have noticed. He was working closely with our Sound Design Team lead by Russell Brower. You can look up Russell's credential's online. We have a very very talented team whose music and sound effect work really brings the world to life. Not only are they talented but they are very approachable and likeable people. ;)

As always, I like to tell people to try turning on your music again. You may just discover some added depth to the areas you are exploring that you never noticed before.

the music has been downhill since jason hayes left. his original tavern music was much more heartfelt, and he didn't have the gajillion dollar budget the sound guys do now.

People are entitled to their opinions about their taste in music provided they don't choose to get insulting.

I happen to love the new music and enjoy listening to the CDs when not in game. Music taste can be pretty broad and it's understandable that it may not be to everyone's liking, but please don't disparage hard work because it's not to your taste.

I have indeed noticed many new sound affects and music. I've always loved Blizzard's music! Neth I have a question for you that hopefuly you can answer. Almost every video I've seen from blizzard has (Latin?) in it and also the intro music of TBC when you launch the game. I've always wondered if there was a place that translated it, its always so epic I'd love to know what they're saying ;P

I'll see if I can find out for you. :)

WTB audio job @ Blizz :(

Just keep an eye on http://www.blizzard.com/jobopp/ for opportunities. :)

We're constantly updating it with open positions and always looking to add to our talent pool.

Also, to the other person that was saying that the musicians should be able to take criticism, I believe that's true. I just tend to try to urge people to keep it constructive. I didn't find the comment about "gazillion dollars" to be all that constructive and was a bit disparaging. Opinions are valid and always understood to be opinions that differ from person to person. If everyone liked the same things, the world would be a very boring place.
