Blizzard’s +20 Stamina Food Fetish

With the addition of Bloodfin Soup, there are now 7 Burning Crusade foods that increase stamina by 20. Do we really need that many repetitive types of food buffs? The daily cooking quest began to introduce new and useful food buffs like +hit rating, +spell crit rating, aoe damage, and +strength to pets. The new Bloodfin Soup recipe could easily have followed this new line of food buffs and given +spell hit rating, or at least not another +stamina buff.

It was also unfortunate that the new “mana regenerative food” was taken out that was mentioned in the early patch notes. It would have been nice to see some food that is similar to Blackened Sporefish, as it would give X buff and 8 mp5 (as long as the buff wasn’t stamina). Unfortunately, all we got was a cookable drink with, you guessed it, a +stamina buff.

I at least hope the way buff food is created changes in the WotLK expansion. If they would have every 1 type of “Well Fed” buff come from 2 sources (NPC mob-looted meat and fished meat), then they could have a much wider array of buffs and create much more diversity in cooking.

Stamina can be useful to everybody in one situation or another, so I don't think it hurts to have it readily available.

Other well-fed buffs are out there for players to get if they are interested in boosting a specific statistic.

Oh, and a little spirit never hurt anybody.

You lie, I swear I read it causes cancer in lab rats.

Don't be mean to spirit, it has changed a bit in the past and it could cure the lab rats in the future!
