But has this idea ever been thought about by blizzard? I mean alot of MMORPG's have a ingame marriage system. I know this would highly favor the realms of RP but does any of this matter seem realistic in the future. Could have a tab that shows who that person is currently married too. How many times they've been married, and also show how many divorces!! (yes divorces would cost gold and result in one players gold percentage being ruled to the favor of the spouse) but yea

Any blue answer my awesome question for the day?

I honestly don't believe that adding in a specific system has been something we've wanted to put in. In game Weddings (or even divorces) are things that should be organic in nature. Within the game itself are the tools to set up a great wedding as we've seen in many videos. It allows a free-flowing sort of creativity and who says every wedding will be exactly alike or should be exactly alike?

That said however, you are more than welcome to put in suggestions in the Suggestion Forum on ways you think it could be carried out. We're always open to ways that we can continue to add elements of fun into the game.

I'm paying 1000G to any inside info on a horde wedding. Nothing would please me more than to raid one and slaughter the bride and groom for being such geeks.

There always seems to be a perpetuation that RP is some vile and loathsome thing. I always found this to be a bit of an oxymoron given that we are all playing a fantasy based game with story elements that drive our characters to do what they do. I'd like to suggest to people to please refrain from further insulting RPers or those that choose to do so on this thread. It's not contributing to the conversation in any productive manner. Choose to RP or not as you wish, but do not attempt to slam others for wanting to enhance their own gameplay with it please.

That said, I once officiated a wedding in which, at the end, I accidentally said, "You may now kill the bride." This is what they got for hiring someone to officiate that was used to a more... erm... PvP oriented style of wedding. ;) Thankfully they all thought it was rather funny and went on with having a great time.

You're right, I'm a jerk. I just can't get my mind around how nerdy this practice seems. Don't we have a geeky enough rep in general just for playing WoW without fueling the masses with things like in game marriage? Call me a heartless ogre, it's just my opinion.

In that case, I think it's better for us to all continue to support each other in our hobby of choice rather than tearing each other down in the hope of improving our rep outside of this small section of the world.

Not to go off topic, but gaming has branched out to be much more mainstream and if someone wants to think you're a geek for taking part in a fun and highly social activity, more's the pity for them. I've known people from PHDs to servicemen and women who play. The very meaning of gamer is changing and will continue to change as long as we all push for people to change their very narrow minded perceptions of it.

How about lots of cash and the ability to never work another day in your life?

That always sounds good in principle, but I like working and feeling productive. So maybe lots of cash and working doing whatever it is I want... oh wait... I already have my dream job. ;)
