This isn't Slipsuicide, hes just logged into the forums to allow me to post this message.

Basically, received an e-mail saying my account was temporarily suspended and needed to be reactivated by sending in a photo ID (I chose to fax it). They received it and replayed, telling me it was too dark and I had to resend. So I refaxed a lighter version and today received an e-mail saying:

Q u o t e:
Thank you for contacting us with regards to the World of Warcraft account you are using. We have reviewed the account and were unable to find any restrictions which would prevent you from accessing the account or the game servers. If your account was suspended and your password reset, please try to log into the game client with the temporary password that was sent to you before accessing the account information page to change your password.

which makes no sense, seeing how the account is locked. So, I'm confused as to the state of the account.

Did the fax list an e-mail address that was associated with a different account, Slipsuicide? There may have been some confusion if the e-mail address did not match.

The last note I see states that the ID was invalid. I'm not certain what type of ID you sent a copy of but you may want to make sure you are using one that is accepted as proof of ID by contact our Billing Department.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) Monday through Friday 8AM-8PM (PST) for live representation.
Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

If you no longer have access to the registered e-mail address on the account make sure you note what account your e-mail is in reference to.

Q u o t e:

The 2nd time I sent the fax, they said the account was fine. If the problem was that the registered e-mail address was tied to another account, then why would the FIRST field of the account recovery fax ask for the ACCOUNT NAME? Seems like a people-error on their end =S

That is why I believe there was some confusion, the e-mail you received was regarding the e-mail that you sent from that second e-mail address. Without an account as a reference they were only able to tie it to an existing account that wasn't locked.

Q u o t e:
One of the ID's they accept are Student ID's - which I faxed in, twice. The 2nd should have been fine.

As far as I know a student ID should be acceptable but you might want to talk to them to be certain. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this process is causing. I hope it can be resolved quickly for you.

Q u o t e:
Should I send in another e-mail stating clearly which account I am referring too? I'm sure I did originally.

That probably would be a good idea but given the last note that was made you might want to fax the documents again. The student ID is in the name that is registered to the account right? If so, make sure that the name and picture shows up clearly before faxing.

Good luck.
