About Stamina...

Out of curiousity, why are you upping the stamina on items instead of just adjusting the amount of hit points each point of stamina gives? I'm no expert but on the face of it it seems like having stamina give say 15 hit points per point instead of 10 would have been simpler to implement than raising the stamina on each individual item.

The only reason I can think of is because you wouldn't want to give people in the 1-60 range too many more hit points than they have now which would make leveling easier. If the 1-60 crowd doesn't see too much change from this then wouldn't there again be a large disparity at level 70?

As it stands me and 2-3 of my buddies at level 50 have a really good chance at downing 60's but if 70's get increased hit points from items, then at level 60 I fear we won't be able to take out a 70 based solely on the amount of hit points they're going to have.

Can someone clarify this change AND the thought process behind it?

Adjusting the value of stamina in the item budget allows continued balancing through slight increments and addition. Changing the core values of HP per Stam is a root change which would have a lot of extraneous effects. Changing the value of stamina on gear allows for more precise additions without having to alter other game mechanics to prevent unintended side-effects.

At the core of it, the attribute of stamina is fine, but could serve from different scaling. This allows creation of more specific solutions, rather than having to revamp core math in the game.

I think it's more of "Why tear up the foundation when we only need to fix up the rooms of the house?"

That would be about right.
