Hello I was wondering if there were any plans to add a Battle.net API that would allow people to chat with their batttle.net friends outside of game. Either in a blizzard only Client, or through a API service so I could write a plugin for my IM of choice, Miranda. Obviously I would expect something like this to be just plans atm, and require an active subscription. But with the introduction of the Android app for guild chat it seems like a feature that would be highly used through out the community. I know many will say i am kinda crazy for saying this but I would probably just keep my wow subscription active, so I could talk to my friends even if I did not want to play wow anymore, if it means i could talk to my battle.net friends though the same chat median I use everything else.
I tried to do a search on the subject but there were not many relevant blue posts on the subject. Though I am thankful for the New API that blizzard has already put in place and as a PHP web Developer I <3 them for it!
