wow, I totally love my mage's teleport abilities, it really cuts down on all the time spent running back and forth to the major cities for AH visits and quest turn-ins.

Now, I know that straight up multi-people portals are suppose to be a Mage specialty, but would it really hurt that much to allow other classes the ability to teleport to the main cities on a more limited scale?

I'm thinking once you get revered with a major faction, you could do a fun lvl 60 quest arc and at the end you could get a hearthstone-type stone that is perminently tied to said city and shares your normal hearthstone cooldown.

Wow, how cool would that be? I could set my hearth wherever and still pop back to Org or the Undercity easily.

Teleportation is a special ability that we've given to Mages and at this time, we don't have any plans to make this exclusive class feature available to anyone else. We try to give each class as many unique options as possible, beyond just core play style and balancing abilities. This is done in part to ensure that each class in the game has a very distinct flavor, but also helps make each option extremely compelling and rewarding in their own way.

It's a good thing for you to login to your Mage and think to yourself, "I love being able to teleport, I wish I could do this with all my characters". When you go and play another character, we want you to miss that ability. Once logged into that character, unless it's just a class you aren't enjoying, I'm quite certain that you'll have access to abilities that you'll miss when playing your Mage.
