what does it do?

my friend says it just makes all your silver look like gold or somethin along those lines and its really funny

he sent a screenie to me and the low level vendors in goldshire were like 2g a piece

What does this do really? and is it safe to do?

i havent done it yet , but i r scared.

As Wkc said, it simply moves the decimal place around. This is only a display issue it really does nothing else, some people try to make it sound like they are transforming 100 silver into 100 gold. Silly really.
