Deth Remar Free Transfer Issues

Blizzard,

I have followed every single one of your hoops, tasks, shifting goals and even battled the 12 hours this character move is not operational... Your account transfer service was released days ago and lets see how many horde are on (courtesy of a friend who actually made it).....11

I have gone through that stupid screen many times, had it bugged out, fail, busy... even at one stage said my toons had been xferred (but havent, sent an emai to support I am expecting a reply in 2007).

It now said there is a "character move in progress", but my toons are STILL on the old server. Now I know that since its a weekend coming up that the transfer page will be brought down and tantalisingly out of reach, but could someone please fix my move?

Is it so much to ask for a working service. If I provided your level of service to my clients I would soon be out of a job.

This issue has been brought to the attention of our Web & Community teams and we are currently awaiting clarification. Unfortunately, we have no additional information to relay at this point, other than the fact that this was not an intentional mishap to deliver our Australian counterparts grief. ; )

An update is forthcoming.

When we hear something, Epod, we'll update this thread. In the meantime, there is no need to request updates by "bumping" this thread, and any attempts to do so may result in its being locked. We have not forgotten about the issue, of that you may rest assured. Please be patient. :)

Just to ensure that I understand correctly, which transfer service are you folks attempting to use? If it's the one accessed via the "Character Move" button found at the link below -- and it should be, as that's how one transfers onto Dath'Remar -- that won't be available again until 3 a.m. on Monday, September 25. Can you be a bit more clear as to the issue you're experiencing, so I can make certain that nothing is currently amiss?

There was an issue with the free character transfers, and that has already been resolved; however, that does not change the fact that transfers are only available between 3 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. That has always been the case, and this is no exception to that rule.

Free character transfers are never open during weekends, Epod; that limitation is not specific to this particular set of transfers. We are aware that the issue which arose may have prevented players from transferring their characters for a good portion of the day, however, and as such we are extending the transfers to Thursday, September 28 to make up for any time that was lost today. That said, again, the fact that transfers are not currently available is by design, as they are only open during specific periods of time. I do apologise for any confusion which may have arisen.

A transfer-service that wasn't working - a service that we were told would be fixed ASAP only 9 hours later was it rectified, for....10 minutes. Which it then went down again, and we were once again promised "It will be fixed asap". I spoke to a GM in-game on the server (well a friend did) and he ASSURED me that it would be up today and they were working around the clock. Now, if it is not up tonight rest assured I will be escolating this to the abuse department as the fact would be, someone is lieing.

As I stated previously, you are correct in saying that there was an issue with the free character transfers, which was assiduously addressed by our server technicians as quickly as it was brought to their attention. At 3 p.m. today, however, the transfers closed for the day, and shan't open again until Monday at 3 a.m. I'm sorry for any misinterpretation that may have occurred when you spoke to a Game Master in-game, Epod, but at this point everything is functioning as it should be. That said, if you wish to offer any comments regarding the service you have been provided, you're welcome to e-mail [email protected], so that the proper authorities can determine how we may further improve. :)

Unfortunately, Warhamster, that's something you shall have to take up with our Billing Department; they have complete jurisdiction over character transfers in such a situation. You may contact them via phone (1-800-59-BLIZZ) or e-mail ([email protected]) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Friday. I wish you the best in determining what may be the cause of, and resolution for, your issue. :)

Hello, Fudge, and all you that are currently waiting eagerly to transfer!

I know that this is frustrating, as you tried to be the early birds, and get this over and done with. We are currently aware that there are still some issues with the transfers, and that any of you that attempted to do so on Friday are still not able to complete the process. I am having it looked into further, and assure you that we will update you with any information that we are given, when we are given it. Please until then, sit tight. We are doing all we can to make sure that everything is worked out for you. :0)
