Unable to get past loading screen

I've been trying to log into WoW for the last half hour and I keep getting stalled at the loading screen after I choose my toon. At one point I let it sit for 15 solid minutes with no change.

I'm on a Toshiba Qosmio x350 17" laptop, w/4 gb ram, 64 bit Vista OS, Nvidia GeForce 9700M GTS, Comcast Broadband w/higher bandwidth, D-Link Modem DCM-202, and D-Link Router DIR-655.

From what I observed on the Technical Forum there are many people with a similar issue. So far the Blizz employees answering the issue have been trying to indicate that it's all our own faults and we just need to reinstall EVERYTHING including all the modem and router software and all related drivers.

I'm pretty sure that it's not OUR problem, but Blizzards, I'm just hoping you'll give us all credit for the time we can't play. Today is definitely a day I can not play, I'll keep trying to log in every now and then, but I'm not really hopeful about a solution for a few days.

This kind of issue seems to appear whenever there are new patches that are related to a new expansion. I couldn't play for several days when Wrath came out.

I do enjoy playing WoW, I've been a pretty steady customer for about 5 1/2 years and it's been really fun, so I look forward to being able to actually play again.

Regards, Duchess

This would be best addressed in Tech, Carabeve.

This could be many things, most of them tech related. Does this just happen on one character - one realm - everywhere?

If it's just one character, you need to ask that particular one be moved. If it's all of them - everywhere, that would tend to indicate something more system related.

It's not Windrunner itself, I just logged in without any issues at all. What it could be, though, may take some trouble-shooting.
