Consolidate buffs issue

I did a quick search to be sure none had posted about this specifically and i got perhaps 12 pages of hits for the word consolidate but none of the posts seemed to be about the in game Consolidate Buffs issue im having. Its fairly simple to fix but for some reason every time i log on to any toon the consolidate buffs icon displays although i have under the interface options unclicked the box. When this issue occurs i must go to interface, opt INTO having consolidate buffs, then unclick it again. This is a solution, however i was wondering if there was something i was causing to make it the problem. Ideas? I tried posting this issue in the bug forums about a week ago but no one seemed to take notice, player or mod. Just thought id try here for some advice. Thanks.

I'm curious, Audryn, do you use WIndows 7 or Vista? It's possible that settings like this refuse to save if you are not running the World of Warcraft program as an Administrator. The files that store these settings won't be written to unless you have administrative access to them.
