Seriously, Bliz....VW still broken?

I put in a ticket over a week ago and have waited patiently for the voidwalker problems to be fixed. I was told Blizzard was aware of the problem and it would be fixed shortly. Shortly? A week later and it's still broken?

For those not aware.....if I summon a voidwalker pet on my lock, it has the swirly on its head and the pet box is grayed out. Therefore, unusable. I have a specific task in mind that I need the VW for..and I'm dead in the water on this task until you fix this crap.

Blizzard, if you don't intend to fix this until Cataclysm comes out, then just say so. Don't make promises you don't intend to keep, or at least give us some accurate information on a fix.
