Problem binding Mouse buttons 4 and 5

I have a problem with my Mouse 4 and 5 buttons in WoW. The problem is, I currently have the buttons set to Back and Forward in the windows mouse settings. When I go into WoW to bind them, instead of appearing as "Mouse button 4" and "Mouse button 5" they appear as "Alt-Left Arrow" and "Alt-Right Arrow". This worked fine for a while, but now I have a mod that is asking me, what abilities do I want bound to mouse 4 and 5?

It doesn't matter what I tell it because those key strokes do not appear as mouse 4 and 5 to WoW, they appear as the key strokes alt-left arrow and alt-right arrow.

How can I fix it so WoW doesn't see these buttons as key strokes, but rather as simply button 4 and button 5?

Mouse: Logitech MX310 corded mouse
Drivers: Logitech MouseWare 9.79 drivers
*I am not using X-Fire
*I tried unassigning the buttons in the mouse settings in windows, this did not fix the issue.

Q u o t e:
The game isn't going to recognize Mouse 4 and Mouse 5 unless you change the settings within SetPoint to be a Generic Button, but then you lose your functionality outside WoW.

Instead, change the keybinding to what WoW already registers the buttons as. For example, mine are bound to Copy/Paste, so instead of binding Mouse 4/5 to something, I bind Ctrl C and Ctrl V.

Actually the Generic Button functionality will make the buttons act "natively" under Windows. Button 4 is considered Back and Button 5 is considered Forward. You can try finding the option here - http://www.datasian.com/images/work/mxrev_generic.png

If you're using a mouse that is not supported by Mouseware, please contact Logitech or uninstall Mouseware. The default Windows mouse driver will work.
