Band of Eternity misclick

Is there any way for me to switch the band of eternity I received? I turned in both vials and went to receive my ring when I clicked on the wrong one. Without realizing it, I clicked accept and received the mage ring. As I am a hunter this is of absolutely no use to me.

It was very difficult to get to this point in the game to earn this ring. I would very much appreciate it if I could switch out the ring for one that I could use. I opened a ticket and was told that I have the option of switching once I reach exalted with the Shifting Sands. This does not solve my problem.

Please, I have been a loyal customer for over two years and have never requested any sort of GM help whatsoever. I would greatly, greatly appreciate it if someone could please solve the simple error of a misclick that undid the reward that so many hours of SSC and TK that should have earned me.

I am sorry, Makpiasha, but the option you were given is the only option there is to exchange the ring you accepted. If you believe other options should be available you are welcome to post on our Suggestion Forums but at this time Game Masters are unable to exchange the reward from one quest and replace it with another.

Basically the wrong item will disappear from your inventory and the new one arrives in the mail. It's not that they "can't" do it at all.

I'm sorry, Gristle, but you are incorrect. This is not a matter of having a reward exchanged, that is sometimes possible depending on the quest, the time frame involved and a few other factors.

For example General Drakkisath's Demise/For The Horde! which gives you the option of 3 different rewards; if you made an error in your selection and you submitted a petition you may be able to have the reward exchanged. It has nothing to do with a "Sympathetic GM' either we can do it or we can't.

The Band of Eternity quests are completely separate quests and therefore will not be exchanged.

I find it interesting that you quoted me, a Game Master, who is intimately familiar with the policies that must be followed. :)

Because the original post wasn't a suggestion but more a request if there was something that could be done to resolve the issue instead of using the mechanic that is in place for players to resolve the error on their own.

And it contains a blue response and therefore wouldn't be moved to that particular forum. :)
