So is it possible to get malware this way...

I was doing the event quest where you read the proclamation and check the papers of incoming citizens, and a person whispered me asking how to read the proclamation out,. I told him to check his bags for the item, etc. I got another pst from him about him being a noob and needing help, then a trade window with him opened and immediately closed.

The trade window opening and closing quickly is what's freaking me out, because I couldn't find the guy on /who soon afterward. Is it possible that something can comprimise me through that?

Nothing has happened to my account, although I was hacked a couple of weeks ago and that's just making me paranoid.

It's not paranoia when they really ARE out to get you, Molvor. When it comes to WoW accounts, they certainly are.

It's not possible, however, to contract anything of this nature through the game interface. Get tricked out of your information - perhaps, but nothing that could directly touch your system through WoW.
