So, I received an e-mail that reads as the following:

Q u o t e:

The second 'when' in the first line gives me pause, of course. As did the slightly off-kilter website link. Still was battle.net, just didn't look quite right after that. The sender of the email was listed as Blizzard Entertainment <[email protected]>

If this is legitimate, I'll follow the link mentioned and fill out the information needed. I just have my doubts, and wanted to post this both to confirm, and potentially warn others.

*edit* I should clarify that I frequently have large transactions in-game, as I play the Auction House extremely heavily, and move gold around from a bank alt guild bank, and various characters. Talking 6 figure sums at times. This is the only reason I could possibly suspect this might be a legit e-mail, if Blizzard was questioning some of my gold movements.

That is a phishing email, Visque. I am glad you posted it here and did not follow the link.

If you continue to receive similar emails, please check the email headers. Email headers will provide information as to where the email originated from.

It did, actually. http://us.battle.net-otherstuffthatIshallnottype

Is why it was a tad suspicious.

While the beginning of the link is similar to ours (http://us.battle.net) anything after that is not.
