Paid race change now = new race in Cata?

Just wondering if I can pay for a race change now, leave it alone until cata comes out, then immediately change to Goblin / Worgen before starting up?

I have a feeling paid services are going to bite the bullet at approx 12:30 AM on Dec 7., so I would like to avoid that.

(for those who don't know, Blizz already confirmed you can race change to Worgen/Goblin on Dec. 7th)

Race Changes do not lock the character until the changes are made, so you will be able to make the changes whenever you would like.
