So i sent my wife a 10 day trial this morning, she's been asking about WoW and kinda wanted to play. She was in the durotar starter area killing her 8 boars (very first quest) when she got disconnected. She tried to log back in and found out she had been banned. She hasn't gotten an email as to why just yet, but what the?

This issue can be resolved by our billing and account services, Dorsia. Based on what I was able to find, the account was reported as possibly being compromised.

Keep in mind that not receiving an immediate reply does not imply that the issue isn't being looked into.

I ask that you refrain from using foul language as it is inappropriate and unnecessary. Future behavior like this can and will cause you to lose your posting privileges.

Thank You!

Q u o t e:
is her email address banned?
The e-mail is not banned, however it can only be tied to one battle.net account.

Q u o t e:
but c'mon, a trial account compromised? at this rate i can expect to see my account banned for being compromised when i get home from work, just for sending her the 10 day trial. ?
Account Security is a top priority to us, Dorsia.

While I don't have additional details regarding why it was reported, the account was locked for security purposes. In other words, the account was not permanently banned, as I stated above it can be recovered by contacting our billing and account services.

hm, yeah she used the computer at home. the very same one i use. fun, now i get to call billing on my lunch break.
I had someone review the account and it should be good to go, Dorsia.

Have your wife check her e-mail for additional information.
