BluePlease - Drop rate for mounts increase?

This is a repost from the General forum. Figured this place would make more sense.

Hey, I know there are probably alot of people asking about this, but I can't find any blue saying whether it will be increased or not.

My husband has been playing WoW for almost 5 years, and as long as I can remember he has been downing the ZG Tiger boss on his Warrior and his Shaman whenever it unlocked. Sadly he hasn't gotten it, I've played for about 3 years now, and I run it with him on his Shaman, He wants the Tiger, and i want the Raptor. Each time, we down them, and each time, no mount, he finally got the raptor on his Warrior.

Recently it seems like we see the tiger more often, which made us think you upped the drop rate, so we kept trying in hopes that we'd get our mounts before they are taken out... but still nothing...

So, i just want a BLUE to comment, please telling me what the drop rate is and if it has, or will be getting easier to get before the mounts are removed.

5 years of trying and still nothing doesn't seem like the drop rate is even in existence on his characters, seeing as some people can do it once and get both...

I'm afraid I cannot provide information what the drop rate is - that's not information we're able to give out. =>.<=

However, I can tell you that the drop rate has not changed at all, and likely what you are witnessing is that more players are farming the instance, resulting in "more chances" for the mount to drop realm-wide. Whereas players had a small chance at getting it to drop and then had a 1 out of 40 chance to get it in Original World of Warcraft, now 1-2 players can have just that low chance for it to drop and not have to worry about rolling off against another bunch of players.
