So let's say I had a max or close to max profession and i dropped it to help myself level something else. in this case lets say i dropped tailoring for mining so i could level engineering since materials cost so much on my server.

Can a GM restore my tailoring? Would I have to drop mining before they could if it was possible? Figured I'd look at all my options before I bought / farmed cloth to relevel tailoring, I even have the mounts from tailoring still in my spell book

it was less than a month ago i think that i dropped it, was in october or november i believe

Restorations are traditionally intended for those players who make a mistake. Accidentally deleting, selling or disenchanting an item, deleting the wrong character, forgetting a profession unintentionally. In these cases we try to help as best as we can. As the others indicated, Resi, this seems more like you want to pick up a third profession temporarily to save a bit of gold.

Though I applaud your ingenuity it would be best if you simply started a new character and had that character learn the desired profession. No restoration is ever guaranteed and my guess if there is evidence that you actively raised the skill of your profession we would not be able to help. Also, profession restorations can usually only be done if reported to us within a very short amount of time.

Good luck.

I originally missed this part. I'm not certain if we can help, Resi, like I said these things must be reported within a very small time frame. You are welcome to try though, the worst they could say is no. :)
