New security "feature"

RIght, we knew Blizzard would botch it, didn't we? When I tried to log into my WoW today from work I got my account locked. That's 5 miles away from home, still Denver area. Every stupid porn website add can determine where logins are coming from ("meet THESE girls from YOUR area"), but Blizzard thinks somebody was logging into my account from China, or what?

Ok, so I changed my password. Can't hurt to do this every once in a while, right?

I'm just curious what will happen when I get home and try to log in again. Is the new system smart enough to recognize my previous login location, or is only my work login acceptable now? Account locked again, email sent to my work email (AT work). Good thing I still have some old-fashioned books to read ...

I guess I can also expect trouble during my christmas vacation in Europe.

On second thought, I really don't want this new security feature. It's already more trouble than it's worth, stupid as it is. I have 7 accounts, and they're protected by an authenticator.

Unfortunately, this will happen anytime there is a change from where you normally log in from. It will take time for it to notice your pattern, which is you log in from work and from home. This is a security measure and all you need to do to log back in is to change your password.
