Wow Game Master to me
Greetings,
This suspension happened because one or more characters on the account were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.
So we have reviewed our logs of your account, and we were able to determine the following:
*Battle.Net Account Name: XXXXXXX
*Battle.Net Account Action: 14 Hour Suspension
So you should immediately verify that you are the original owner of the account. We highly recommend that you take this opportunity to verify your account information .
To do so, simply click here: <Link to Trojan removed>
Game Master
Blizzard Entertainment
The guy spoofed the reply-to fields to make it look like it came from Blizzard, so at a casual glance it might seem fairly legit to some innocents.
Unfortunately for this particular 24yr old male, less than 30k a year earning, likes Heavy Metal, also plays Marvel Universe, brain-dead, oh so very messed with the wrong person, Hotmail user living in the UK...I know about reading the actual email Header info... =-)
Simple rule of thumb folks:
Even if it says it's from Blizzard, learn to check the email header info. To find out how to do this with your particular flavor of email go here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?articleId=25133
Reading the part that tells you where the email was ACTUALLY sent from will spare you a ton of raging (that is better saved for the new 1-shot wonder Rogues in the BG's!) and make less work for the CS reps that can't believe someone actually clicked that poisoned link.
Cheers!
