It is still inappropriate, Pandacannon. Regardless of what emotes you can do in-game that does not make the same appropriate for a name.
Q u o t e:

Inappropriate

This category includes both clear and masked names which:

* Are mildly inappropriate references to human anatomy or bodily functions
* Are references to illegal drugs or activities
* Have neutral or positive racial/ethnic/national connotations
* Have any connotations of major religions or religious figures (i.e. Jesus, Christianity, Buddha)
* Include names of World of Warcraft realms, zones, or names of major characters from Warcraft lore
* Are otherwise considered inappropriate for the game world

Regardless a public forum is not the appropriate place to dispute a name change. If you wish to appeal the name change the appropriate point of contact is our Account Administration Department.

It isn't about harm, Pandacannon, it is about what is and is not found appropriate. Understand that Blizzard has sole and absolute discretion as to what may or may not be permitted.

As I said previously, the appropriate point of contact if you wish to dispute this action is our Account Administration department.

Not to start a debate or a fight, but why can't he have "fart" in his name? You (Blizzard) place the /fart emote in the game, isn't that a bit inappropriate? Lol.

Simply, an emote is not a name. It may be perfectly fine to have your character use an existing emote in the game but to use that same subject as part of a name would have different connotations and visibility.

I agree. Its pretty common sense blizz is contradicting themselves in this instance, crazy how people cant see that. But then again, this isn't the only thing in which they contradict themselves.

See, and I feel that it is odd that you are unable to see the difference between an emote and having the word in a name. It is not a contradiction, they are treated entirely different. There is feces in the game as well but it would be inappropriate to have that as part of a name, wouldn't you think?

As I linked earlier a portion of the Support Article covering our Naming Policies.

Why don't the people who are defending the GM do something simple..transpose the word "fart"..with something dirty...and see if it makes sense..

A name doesn't have to be "dirty" in order to be inappropriate. This is being run into the ground and honestly in circles so I'll be locking it. Thank you all.
