A question about Deathy

I was talking with a friend of mine about possibly trading my Deathy the Murloc code for in-game gold on my server and he said he was pretty sure that would be a violation of the ToS or some such. Can anyone shed some more light on this for me?

Q u o t e:
Aside from the fact that that's the EU forum, the Blue is talking about the TCG codes (likely the ones that are redeemed INGAME). Deathy is NOT an ingame code, and is not allowed to be sold for ingame gold.

Rule of thumb:

If redeemed in WoW, it can be sold for gold.
If redeemed in WoW, it can not be sold for Real Life currency,

If redeemed out of game (such as the code found on the TCG cards, or Deathy, or the Blizz Store ingame items), it can not be sold for gold.
If redeemed out of game (examples above), it can be sold for Real Life currency.

Correct. It should also be noted that policies are subject to change at any time and that post is not only based on EU policies but also over a year old.

The code for Deathy is not considered an in-game item as it can not be redeemed in-game.
