Friend of friend opt out removed?

I got an email detailing changes to battle.net Real ID features. Of particular interest to me was the fact that you could now opt out of the Friend of Friend function. I decided to do that today, but the ability to do this has apparently been removed. There needs to be a really good reason for this. I know it wasn't in my interest that this change was made. I would really appreciate it if somebody could explain to me why this was done. i also want it put back in an easily accessible place. This isn't Facebook. It's World of Warcraft. I just want my privacy.

The option has not been removed to my knowledge, Ambyrl.

Real ID options are currently only available if you have Parental Controls active on the account in question. While this may change in the future, it is currently the only way to enable/disable Real ID features.

I really hate to do this, but I don't think this is true.

No worries. I will further look into this as that is the word I got from our Billing and Account Services team.

Can I have you guys retest this for me and let me know if you are still unable to see "Communication Preferences" under settings.

If you have confirmed that the option is no longer there, try using the following link:
