Sons of Hodir quest chain bugged

I began the quest chain for Sons of Hodir with no rep with them at all. As soon as I completed the quest chain, I became Hated with Sons of Hodir. My ingame messages are as follows:
Mending Fences completed.
Received 13g 23s.
Reputation with The Sons of Hodir increased by 28,600.
You are now hated byThe Sons of Hodir.

Now it's showing Hated by The Sons of Hodir 28,600/36,000.
Is there something I did wrong or is it just a bug with the game? and how do I get this fixed?

You need to find the Slag Covered Metal. It's a drop from a mob that you may have killed while working on Mending Fences.


And which is in your inventory now. :) With it you'll be able to pick up and complete The Refiner's Fire and A Spark of Hope.
