I got this email a little over an hour ago. I checked my account and sure enough it is locked. Ok so the email is indeed from Blizzard. All it said was supicious activity. It let me change my password and get my account back.

So umm...how am I supposed to know what went wrong? Froma quick glance it doesn't appear any of my characters lost any items or were even moved?

Thanks for the replies. I just use standard comcast cable...not sure sure where that classifies.

Umm, this email came 45 minutes before I even got home, and the last time I played WOW was around noon central time on Wednesday (at least 13 hours before the email came blocking my account).

So if my account was logged in to around when the email came, then it indeed was someone else. I wish the email gave me a little more information to work with here. I can't imagine I visited any site that had a keylogger, but something seems to be going on.

I'm not seeing anything terribly out of the ordinary here just on a cursory examination. It's possible someone has information from you - or another source, and made a challenge to the account.

Just to be on the safe side, I'd do a system sweep for malware and change your password - and I'd even recommend changing your email password as well. Remember, if you ever reuse passwords, that can turn into a crime of opportunity. If some other source is compromised, another game - your email, a website - they WILL give that combo a try on the off-chance it will work.
