Hi,

I do not own a credit card and game cards are over priced and too far for me, so I decided to go with paypal by linking my bank account. This thing is, (like many on forums) when we chose paypal in payment options, it asks for a credit card. I contacted paypal many times and they said my account was ok to pay but Blizzard is the one asking for a credit card to pay. I also contacted Blizzard and they said they were not asking for a credit card and they were not the problem. After a few shots, Blizzard told me that yes it really asks for a credit card and it's not supposed too... I am currently waiting for replies from both Blizz and paypal, but I guess the problem won't be solved. Why do we need a credit card by paypal? Anyway, it's just that I was planning restarting WoW before the 6th anniversary (I am currently on 7 free days to be able to post on forums).

Any options? It would be GREAT to get this solved...

Alternatives that you have open to you, Blackluc: You can use your debit card issued to your from the bank, as long as it has a Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express logo on it, you should be able to use it. If that option is not available to you, you may want to look into PayPal’s Virtual Debit Card. This will allow you to continue using your PayPal account to pay for your online payments. The third and final option I present to you, short of using pre-paid game cards, is the pay by phone system or PaymentOne : (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/21531)
