Please remember that our goal when it comes to investigating reports of possible naming violations is primarily to address obviously inappropriate names and in cases where special rule sets apply, such as roleplaying realms, to enforce those particular policies.
Though you may interpret the meaning of a character, guild or arena name a particular way keep in mind that such determinations are at our absolute and sole discretion. Names that have multiple means rely mostly on context. The name you originally listed by itself would seem perfectly acceptable.
The other mentioned in this thread is a bit more suspect given the commonality of the phrase. In either case, if you believe a name to possibly violate our Terms of Use we encourage and appreciate you submitting an in-game petition and reporting it. If it is apparent to you that the name was not changed after your petition has been addressed and you believe a staff member may have misunderstood what you saw wrong with the name you are welcome to submit another petition to clarify. You are always welcome to provide your feedback regarding your interaction and outcome of your petition by writing to
[email protected].
Due to the nature of the examples given I'm going to lock this thread as I'm afraid this will tread into inappropriate areas. Thank you all for your constructive contributions.
