If I purchase a race change for my character now, can I wait till dec.7th to use it and change to worgen? Or would it be better to wait till dec.7 to buy the race change?

You can purchase the Race Change ahead of time to be used at a later date, Cavaletta.

Keep in mind though that several other players have this same idea. As such, there may be a delay in completing the final change come December 7th.
