Have I encountered a hacker/bot?

So I am a miner and I also work weird hours in the day, ever since I have been home ( witch is usually between 5AM-2PM, CST) I have taken to trip to Wintergrasp to mine some titanium for personal and guild usage.

Now every since i got these hours, witch was 5 days ago, I have been seeing some weird things in Wintergrasp, The following takes place in Wintergrasp between 6:00-8:00 (Possibly earlier)

While flying around., there is a certain spot in Wintergrasp that had me perplexed, I would find an ore, but it would just disappear, and i could also hear dismounting, but I could see nothing. I thought nothing of it at first, I thought it was just my imagination, but every time I would go back to that one spot, it would hear dismounting, but never see it.

Now bear in mind that I have never had problems with bots or hackers on this server, so I have no idea how to tell if its actually a hacker or a bot.... or nothing, witch is why I hesitate to submit a ticket.


So i come back a few days later, Again between 6AM-8AM and again I hear the same thing. So this time I take the liberty to open my combat log and see whats going on. Well, for this I am just going to call him "The miner" so, As i open my combat log I see "The miner has begin casting Mining" and "The Miner begins casting Archerus Deathcharger" So this confused me even more.... A ground mount? that's a little redundant?

Well there's a reason why he was using Archererus Deathcharger, and ill tell you why.


As i was going for my last few rounds of mining, I hear his dismounting again, so this time I do the /Target Function on The Miner, And sure enough, he is level 69... What? 69? I Have never seen anything like this... I personally believe that this guy is a hacker or bot, or maybe both, but again, I have no idea.... So i ask you guys, Have I encountered a Hacker/bot? And should i put in a Ticket?

Any chance of some information on the behavior of these kinds of culprits so i can report it even further?


Anyone exploiting like that needs to be reported just as soon as possible. The only thing to be mindful of are zones with heavy phasing like Icecrown. It's perfectly possible to be standing next to someone in another phase there and not see each other and it be perfectly legit. There is no phasing in Wintergrasp :)
