Wondering what the penalty for harassment is

I'm not using this to bypass the ticket system, as I have a ticket in place. Simply for my own knowledge, what penalty does a person receive usually for posting a private cell phone number in trade and trying to get people to call/text it asking for sex?

The person was very aware they would be actioned for it, even going as far to say (paraphrasing) 'harassment is only a 2 hour ban know your stuff'.

Yes, I know the GM won't respond to me in game telling me the results of their findings/actions. I just find it sort of pathetic if this person really does only get a 2 hour ban for posting somebody's phone number to hundreds of people trying to solicit spam.

We take the distribution of real world information, even if it is not correct, fairly serious, Haitnd, and we action accordingly. I'm afraid I can not give you the exact penalties because much depends on the conditions as well as previous actions on the account.

Penalties start at a warning and then go to 3 hours, 24, 48, 72 up to closure.

More strict about what, Sunhoney? We take such things very seriously so I'm not entirely certain what you are referring to. Also, we are unable to monitor all chat made by all characters of both factions on over 220 realms, it is simply impractical. If a possible violation of our Terms of Use takes place and is reported we take what actions are appropriate based on our policies.
