Recruit a friend isn't working

does the person i sent the recruit a friend to have to upgrade her trial to a the full account before we get the benefits from linking?

The subscription-based rewards for the veteran account holder, however, only become available once the recruited player has upgraded their license and paid for the appropriate amount of subscription time.
Based on what I can see, both accounts are linked correctly and should be getting all in game benefits, Elbusinesso.
