Unable to Reattach Authenticator

Ok.

I wanted to switch to a mobile authenticator.

So, I took off the old authenticator on both of my accounts since I heard you have to have only 1 authenticator per account. Ok... so one account will no longer have the authenticator but I guess that's a risk I'm willing to take.

So, I go to put on the Mobile Authenticator and it aks for a 14 digit number. I look at the number on the mobile authenticator and I only count 12. It doesn't work.

I think... ok... for whatever reason it's not working. I'm going to put on the old autheticator which goes on the key chain. I go to put it back on and I get an error saying that number on the back is not valid....

Now, I can't put on an authenticator and both my accounts are now "out in the open."

I don't know what to do.

Q u o t e:
No. Because that's not a number.

O.o

I guess taken literally the first 2 digits are not numbers, however they are part of the serial number. You may find some success by entering the entire 14 digits (letters and numbers) in order to associate the authenticator successfully.

The authenticator should be valid if it has not been added to another account.

Can you please provide me a character name and realm on the account you are attempting to add the authenticator to?

I guess this is my way of saying either let me consolidate my accounts or use the same mobile autheticator for both accounts.

Have you contacted Account Services requesting an account consolidation? Provided that both accounts are registered to the same individual they should be able to assist you by moving a WoW account from one Battle.net account to the other.
